This week, Pastor Ariel continued our sermons series- A Story of Steadfast Love, looking at the book of Ruth. Naomi and Ruth had returned to Bethlehem, and the end of chapter one tells us it was barley harvest time, which would’ve been early spring. Two women without men to provide for them did not have the ability to get a job to even feed themselves. The only way to survive was either by the charity of others or finding a way to get food. Fortunately, God had already provided a system to care for people such as widows and foreigners.

Noemí y Rut habían vuelto a Belén y el final del capítulo uno nos cuenta que era casi el tiempo de la cosecha, lo que sería el principio de la primavera. Dos mujeres sin maridos que les proveyeran no tenían la habilidad de conseguir un trabajo para siquiera alimentarse a ellas mismas. La única manera de sobrevivir era bien o por caridad de otros o cualquier manera para encontrar comida. Por fortuna, Dios había provisto un sistema para cuidar a personas tal y como viudas y extranjeros.
